Vikram Deol is a 39-year-young serial entrepreneur who grew up on the right side of the tracks and, like a stray dog, loved to roam over to the side of town where a Tommy Hilfiger-wearing-110-pound skinny Brown boy shouldn't have been roaming.
In spite of having an Indian father who was controlling, Deol tried his best to be an excellent (i.e., docile) Indian kid. In sixth grade, his family uprooted from the States back to India (in the middle of the school year) which forced him to abruptly adapt to his parents' culture while also attending a new institution — boarding school. Surviving these tribulations, plus the abuse at the hands of neighborhood kids has made Deol resilient.
